Hamilton mulls more friction tests on ‘slippery’ Red Hill ahead of repaving
Rob Hooper, a lawyer retained by the families of some Red Hill crash victims, said he has alerted the city to the possibility his clients may want their own “independent testing” on the parkway.
Hooper said he is continuing to evaluate interest in a potential class-action lawsuit that could involve multiple people who have lost control of vehicles on the parkway and crashed.
Regardless, Hooper said he has let the city know his clients expect an opportunity to take a closer look at the makeup of the asphalt before it disappears permanently via repaving.
